This month, we were scheduled to be in Boliva; however, due to political tension in Bolivia the decision was made to keep us in Peru for an additional month. We switched ministry hosts, and we are now staying in Huaraz, Peru.
Here in Huaraz we have been working with Wycliffe and an association called AWI. Recently Wycliffe finished translating the Bible into three different dialects of Quechua (a common indigenous language in Peru); and AWI is working to make preaching, songs, literature, and scripture available to Quechua speakers in their native language.
Over the past several weeks, we have been partnering with AWI in several different ways.
First, we visit churches and schools where we sing, share testimonies, preach, and/or facilitate games. When we sing, we often share several songs that we have learned in Quechua.

Second, we have been serving the AWI community by assisting with projects such as planting potatoes and pine trees, building adobe pig pens, mucking out stalls, and hauling wood.

Lastly, we have been to two different markets to do ministry. In the second market we visited, we helped with distributing literature in Quechua and prayed over people for healing.
It’s been incredible to experience so many new and different things. Please pray for my team and I as we continue to serve; that we would effectively share the love of Jesus with both community members and AWI staff.
Thank you for your support!
Love What you are doing and the great pictures.
What a variety of tasks…so many ways that prove ‘life is ministry and ministry is life!’
