The following is a letter to my coworkers at FedEx ground. I worked at FedEx ground for four years prior to leaving on the World Race. I really enjoyed my job there and the people that I got to work alongside.

Dear Fedex Ground package handlers, supervisors, drivers, and janitors (M and E),
Greetings from Ghana! This month my team and I have been volunteering in a neighborhood school, and I have been helping in a K2 classroom. These past two weeks have been full of smiles, drawings, and children’s songs.
I want you to know that although I love where I’m going and what I’m doing, I left part of my heart in that warehouse with you. I miss dancing and singing in the sort tower. I miss the challenge of doing my best at something I consistently enjoy. I miss your faces, your greetings, and even your teasing. You are a big part of what makes Eau Claire home, and for that I am grateful.
Take care of each other. Speak life-giving things on the hard days, and keep making that warehouse on Prospect Drive a place that people like me end up missing when they leave.
All the best,
Kaitlynn
Hi Kaitlynn!
It is great to hear your “voice”! We miss you here for sure. I hope your adventure is amazing and that you are keeping a great journal so you can share your experience with us when you get back. Keep us updated (if possible) with where you are ( and have been so far).
Hope to hear from you again soon,
-Sam
Thanks Sam! We have been to Peru, Argentina, Togo, and Ghana. This month we are in Cote d’Ivoire, and next month we will be in Nepal. It’s been a wonderful journey, and I’m expectant of many more beautiful moments to come. 🙂
